The purpose of this postal history exhibit is to show how the handling of printed matter mails was accomplished during fIve different time periods and by twelve different postal administrations. For the exhibit, printed matter mail includes: charity, circulars, commercial, envelope entries, holiday greetings, government documents, newspapers, souvenir post cards and variou type of wrappers. Where appropriate, the covers are separated between domestic and foreign mail and then within each group arranged by postal rates. Also noted are rare postmarks and postal markings. Where the postmark is not clear, a reference COP} been added to the page and it mayor may not contain date information.
