Attention: Members of the Toronto Chapter of the Canadian Association for Israel Philately (CAFIP)
At our annual brunch on Sunday, CAFIP member Harvey Cantor told us about a great website where you can download free Stamp Album Pages.
(Although the website is in French, there is a button that translates to English).
One of our members, Arnie Goldstein, was so impressed that he went and printed the entire Israel catalogue – on high quality paper and in color. He brought it to our last meeting (on Tuesday) and it really looks beautiful!
For those who were not able to attend the last meeting on June13, the Powerpoint we did is now online.
Visit our website (www.TinyUrl.com/IsraelStamps) and choose “Presentations” from the menu.
Then go to the bottom of the list and choose…
Israel Memorial Days on Stamps… 1966-2017
Note: It takes about a minute to download, so pls be patient.
The entire presentation consists of approx 288 slides. We did up until slide 117. The remainder will be staged at some future date.
Have a great summer.
Last meeting was
Sunday June 11, 2017 at 10:15 am (please note Time change)
at “Milk & Honey Restaurant”,
3457 Bathurst St. (1 block south of the Baycrest) see map at: http://milknhoney.ca/
Please note that in years past the cost of the brunch was subsidized by our annual membership fees. Although these fees have remained the same for 20 years or more, the cost of the brunch has not. Therefore, this year we are putting a cap of $15 on the subsidy and each individual will pay for the balance of his own meal (which includes taxes and tips). There will be no smorgasbord. Each person will order what he wants from the menu and will pay his own bill, minus the subsidized portion. You can find the menu at:
Sorry for these last minute changes to the arrangements. Hopefully we will have a discussion about this at one of our future meetings.
Look forward to seeing you at the brunch, and also at our next meeting.

Our last show was titled “Celebrating Yom HaAtzmaut and Yom Yerushalayim on Stamps“.
It’s the last entry on the “Presentations” page.
The following map shows the old venue (the Antibes Centre at 140 Antibes Dr) and the new venue (my home at 70 Charlton) a few blocks away.
If you are going north on Bathurst, turn right onto Kenton Dr (2 blocks north of Finch).
Continue east along Kenton until it winds into Charlton. Then proceed along Charlton for 2 long blocks.
If you are going south on Bathurst, turn left on Drewry (3 traffic lights south of Steeles).
Go east on Drewry for 3 blocks, then turn right on Grantbrook. Go south on Grantbrook for 2 blocks until Charlton and then make a left and proceed for about 30 houses.
